By containing shape steel,steel reinforced concrete special-shaped columns struct -ure has lots of advantages,such as high bearing capacity ,good seismic performance and so on. So it has great suitable scope for using of special-shaped columns.However, it is diffcult to calculate for design because of the irregular section. Therefore, it is necessary to study the design method of SRC special-shaped columns.Based on experimental study of SRC special-shaped columns, from the perspective of design, the design method of SRC special-shaped columns were studied. Based on experimental results,the calculative method for bearing capacity of normal section of SRC special-shaped columns is analysisied and studied. the calculative method for bearing capacity of inclined section of SRC special-shaped columns is analysisied.On the basis of the research results of our group,the crack as well as the ultimate strength formulas of SRC special-shaped column-beam joint was obtained. The connection construction measure of SRC special-shaped column-beam joints were presented, including SRC column (lattice and solid steel) with RC beam, SRC beam. based on the above of the calculative methods,wrote calculatve program for bearing capacity of SRC special-shaped columns (normal section, inclined section and column -beam joints) by using FORTRAN,by using the program and our research achieveme -nts,the influence of different factors on the bearing capacity of SRC special-shaped columns is discussed,draw some rule for later engineering design.
