Flight schedule simulation which offers a dynamic means of evaluating a given flight schedule, is more effective, lower cost and higher predictability. As the mounting of domestic air transportation volume and the extension of airline network, it is more difficult to research the feasibility and economy of a flight schedule. Based on ServiceModel simulation software, this paper describes a discrete-event simulation model of flight schedule which operates on airline network. Through the imitation of aircraft taking off, landing, taxiing in/out, turnarounding and flying, Flight schedule simulation model put out various statistics, such as delay time, buffer time, block time, load factor and cost of passenger kilometer. According to the output information, it establishes a flight schedule simulation evaluation index system, including demand, cost, airlines network and flight operation. This system also measures the recovery results by generating stochastic flight delays for schedule recovery mechanism to handle disruptions. This paper designs a domestic flight schedule example with 150 airports to explain the evaluation index detailedly. In order to compare the difference of flight schedule between hub-and-spoke and city-to-city airline network, we separately devise a passenger demand, which has 20 airports with 4 hubs to explain network economies of scale and Connectivity Units.
