With rapid developing of Chinese economic, urban traffic problems were getting worse, and it gradually become focus of the whole society's attention and discussion. The traditional solving measures can not meet the develop requirement of modern city. In the light of the complexity of urban traffic and the limitation of traditional traffic manage measures, with use multi-agent technique, game theory, ant algorithm and genetic- algorithm, this paper have done some research on the integration of traffic guidance and traffic control.First, analyzed the related research about the integration of traffic guidance and traffic control on and abroad. The agent's feature, Structural model and the coordinate method between agents were also analyzed.Secondly, summarized the related theory and techniques of Urban Traffic Flow Guidance System (UTFGS) and urban traffic control system (UTCS) respectively, expound the research on base of UTFGS and UTCS's integrate emphasis on four aspects: the time-space characteristics on integration of UTFGS and UTCS, the coupling relationship between the two systems, the theoretical basis of the integration and dynamic traffic assignment.Thirdly, advanced an dynamic traffic guidance strategy based on multi-agent techniques. Adopted "hierarchical" idea, constructed an three-tier system architecture framework including the Center Agent (decision-making level ), the Regional Agent (coordination level) and the Sections Agent (execution level). Established the route optimization model, and the optimization method was also done based on ant algorithm.Finally, by using multi-agent techniques, the traffic guidance system and traffic control system were integrated and the integration framework were built based on multi-agent system. Adopted the game theory, we explored the agent coordination mechanism of the multi-agent system. Using backward induction method to obtain the sub-game perfect NASH equilibrium, and finally we analyzed the solve method of the game model.Example of application show that the theory and technology of UTFGS and UTCS'integration can improve the urban transport service level, it is instructive for urban traffic management practices.
