Study Of Architectural Design In Solar Decathlon

Solar Decathlon is organized by the U.S. Department of Energy for, universities from all over the world to design and build a self-sufficient home, grid-connected, using solar energy as the only energy source and equipped with technologies that permit maximum energy efficiency. To analysis the designing of the houses can demonstrate that it is possible to build highly efficient industrialized homes that are sustainable without diminishing comfort, aesthetics and the pleasure of living them.The writer is to study architectural design of the houses in the past competitions in order to collect experience in solar energy house and find a designing way of solar energy house suitable for our country.In the first chapter, it introduces the history, process, target, rules of the Solar Decathlon, and especially the architecture contest in the competition; the secondchapter concludes the manners of styles and functions in solar house designing; the third chapter: bioclimatic analysis of the solar house; the fourth chapter: structural systems of the house and the way of rapid construction; the fifth: the integration of the solar system and the house; the final chapter: how to learn the advanced solar technology from foreign country and design Chinese style solar house.
