As a new type of brace resistant steel frame, the composite steel frame-reinforcedconcrete infill wall (SRCW) structural system, in which the steel and concrete componentswork integrally through mechanical connectors, improves the structure's seismic performance. The SRCW structural system is still in the primary stage, therefore making study on thehysteretic behavior of the SRCW structural system under cyclic load and introducingaseismatic design recommendations are significant for theory and practice. In this paper, SRCW structure's performance in the monotonic and cyclic loading hasbeen simulated by finite element software. SRCW structure's carrying capacity, stiffness, energy dissipation, law of the wall crack has been analysised systematically according to theresults. The main work is listed:(1) Comparing and analysing the existing research results of the steel frame connectiontype and constraints relationship, the basic parameters of semi-rigid connections andwall-beam/column studs has been calculated.(2) Establishing the finite element stiffness equations, selecting the ANSYS finiteelement software, determining the appropriate unit, the solid model has been calculated. Theresults of numerical is compared with the existing research test, and the feasibility of the finiteelement analysis is authenticated.(3) The base specimen of SRCW is designed through the project. The load-displacementcurve, hysteresis curve, wall crack laws, fig of stress and shear strain, skeleton curve, ductility, energy, load transfer and distribution of moment and shear under different load have beenanalysised by nonlinear calculations to base specimen.(4) The series specimens are designed by changing the factors of concrete strength, reinforcement ratio, with or without filling walls, with or without vertical load at the beamand column. The series specimens are simulated one by one. Some useful results are gained according to this paper's research, and the seismic designmeasures and suggestions are put forward. The study methods and analysis results of thispaper can be valuable for SRCW structure's theory research and engineering applicability...
