Spot inspection of equipment, which uses pre-established technical standards, is a method to monitor and manage the equipments according to the program with fixed timing , site, process and the help of testing tools.It is an effective way to ensure safe production and reduce business losses.At present, domestic and international spot inspection instruments belong to the common apparatus which can check the conventional parameters such as observational volume, measurement, temperature and vibration.But it doesn't have enough flexibility for different applications and industries,and can't suffice individual needs.In this paper,using high-performance ARM7 processor andμC / OS-II RTOS,we developed an individual and portable spot inspection equipment with integration of data acquisition and date processing which can be custom-tailor and cut. This instrument can monitor vibration and temperature of equipments and other environmental parameters, can achieve real-time monitoring , pre-alarm and online or offline diagnostics for the mechanical failure,can be customized to suffice individual needs of different users.This article completed the following tasks.Frist, researching and analysising the development of domestic and international status of spot inspection instrument,it finished the needs'analysis and the functional design based on the research of spot inspection managemental system and process of embedded system,which aimed at individual needs of spot inspection equipment.Second,based on comparing features and applications of commonly used processors and operating systems , considering the instrument's function,this article selected LPC2148 chip as the control chip andμC / OS-II operating system as software environment. It adopted infrared sensor and integrated circuit piezoelectric sensor(ICP sensors)to check signals of temperature and vibration,while after a comprehensive comparison of temperature sensors and vibration sensors. Then it planed out the hardware framework and software solution.Third, it completed the design of hardware, including LCD circuits, power supply, USB interface , SD card interface, keyboard interface, iButton interface, sensor interface, alarm circuits, filter circuits, etc.Fourth, this paper described the application of fourier transform in signal processing,designed the driver program based onμC / OS-II operating system, completed the design of software modules, including reading iButton, managing windows, scanning keys, displaying graphic, storing datas, handling faults and other tasks. Finally, this article verified functional modules of spot inspection and made experiments on performance of the instrument.The resluts showed that spot inspection instrument had achieved the designed function,and the designs of hardware and software were feasible and reasonable.The proposed design of spot inspection instrument is feasible.It can achieve the monitorings of temperature, vibration and other parameters,complete the daily inspection of equipments and be customized to meet user and industrial applications.
