With the rapid development of automobile industry in China, vehicles and traffic increased significantly, making frequent road accidents. Speed control hump, as an effective safety facility, can slow down vehicle speed and improve traffic safety. However, if the speed control hump structure and layout is unreasonable, it will make the vehicle produce excessive vibration and impact, causing damage to the vehicle chassis, which shorten the vehicle life. Also, it causes great noise pollution to the surrounding environment. Therefore, study on the impact loading characteristic of vehicle crossing speed control hump has very important academic significance and practical value.In order to study the impact loading characteristics of heavy truck, a simulation platform was established in this paper. The platform is consisted of a multi-body dynamic model of heavy truck based on multi-body dynamic software SIMPACK, a power function power spectral density three-dimensional road roughness model which was proposed based on the principles of harmonic superposition and speed control hump model which was built based on the theory of triangular mesh method. The impact loading characteristic of vehicle crossing speed control hump was simulated and researched based on this platform.The longitudinal force and vertical load of tire were selected as index to evaluate impact loading characteristic. Then analyze the impact loading characteristic of vehicle that crossing speed control hump which have different cross section, structure size and longitudinal slope. This study provided a reference for the design and layout of speed control hump.
