In the conventional internal combustion engine drive system, because of the influence of working load changes, the internal combustion engine will not work stable, fuel consumption and emissions are large. In the tradition of electric drive systems (including pure electric drive and hybrid drive), a single battery energy storage system easily make the battery pack over charge, over discharge and over-temperature that affect battery life, and driving distance is short.For the disadvantages and problems of the present all-electric vehicle and hybrid electric vehicle, this paper presents a new drive system that called the load isolated all-electric drive system. The load isolated all-electric drive system can make engine and drive system load isolated, the engine can always operate in the best situation that reduce fuel consumption and emissions; while it can avoid battery overcharge, over discharge, over-temperature and other issues through reasonably switching two battery packs, finally increase battery life.Based on a light truck,this paper develops the load isolated all-electric drive vehicles. According to the performance index of the vehicle, this paper makes parameter matching on the power system and calculates the parameters of components of the power system.Build the simulation model of the load-isolated power system of the vehicle by the CRUISE software. Select the logic threshold control strategy and constant power control strategy, so that make the charge and the discharge mode switches reasonably and let the engine work at the lowest fuel consumption point.This paper simulates the dynamic performance and the fuel economy performance of the system simulation model of the load-isolated all-electric vehicle, the simulation results show that parameter matching is reasonable.
