Since the20th century, the growth of the world’s energy consumption far exceeds the rate of population growth. A worldwide energy crisis has prompted people to unprecedented levels of energy efficiency mentioned. In developed countries, building energy consumption accounts for the national total energy consumption of about1/3. With the rapid development of China’s national economy and people’s living standards improve, the construction industry has been greatly developed, which will bring increasing building energy consumption. For the sustainable development of the world, building energy efficiency has become a priority, including residential building energy arduous task of great potential.Firstly, we view the residential buildings in cold area as the research object. According to the partition of the different thermal,we analyzes the load characteristics of residential buildings in cold regions.According to the paper,"cold and cold regions residential building energy efficiency design standards"(JGJ26-2010) for the two methods in the thermal envelope design specifications:be prescriptive and performance indicators index method analyzes the advantages and disadvantages and applicability and compared. Summarizes disadvantages of common residential building envelope energy efficiency measures:external wall insulation, internal insulation, sandwich insulation, roof insulation laid directly, additional slope roofs and so on.Papers selected inland cities Jinan of B cold zones and coastal cities Longkou of A cold zone as represented city. A reasonable choice of energy-saving evaluation method based on the characteristics of the cold climate, establish baseline building architectural models living in cold areas, this model as a benchmark, using eQUEST energy simulation software to study the influence of a single factor and the degree of residential building energy consumption, and in the case of controlling other factors inconveniences were analyzed and their energy consumption factors exterior walls, roofs, exterior window type, window influence over the wall, building orientation and so on building energy consumption. Finally, integrated energy conservation programs is given by mean of economic evaluation methods and the rational design of orthogonal experiments. A series of experimental data by computer simulation is obtained. The optimized scheme of the building envelope thermal performance for the most economical residential building in cold regions is achieved through the analysis for these data.
