With the increasing business productivity, Automated Storage / Retrieval System has become more and more important in enterprises. How to reduce the vibration to ensure security of stored goods’ precision, and how to improve the efficiency of automated storage have been important subjects in the warehouse optimization. In this paper, with a warehouse for military-industrial precise instruments as engineering background, research has been done to solve the existing problems for the warehouse, which has certain practical value.Because of the particularity of precise instruments, high requirement is asked for stacker vibration during the transportation, which belongs to the control system. Firstly, stacker’s force situation has been analyzed in order to deduce the relationship between acceleration and amplitude of the column tops.Simulation study shows that traditional multi-step speed leads to large amplitude, therefore, S-curve speed has been introduced. It has been verified that S-curve speed can reduce the amplitude of the column tops by simulation.Subsequently, the warehouse control system has been introduced and main hardware has been selected according to the actual demand. Consequently,application of S-curve in control system has been designed as well as relevant PLC program.The principles of current storage are random. To improve the stability and efficiency of stored goods in and out of the shelf, slotting optimization is required, which belongs to management system. Therefore, based on appropriate storage location assignment principles, mathematical model of slotting optimization has been made. Subsection weighting method has been designed innovatively to solve this multi-objective optimization problem.Particle Swarm Optimization has been used to solve the target function and has been verified its effectiveness by simulation. Using Visual Studio 2008 as a development platform, management system processes and interfaces has been designed to realize the application of slotting optimization.Aiming at the problems of control and management in warehouse forprecise instruments, in-depth theoretical analysis has been carried out while practical methods for application has been offered, which provides useful engineering research and practice for warehouse storing precise instruments.
