With the fast development of Chinese economy,the goods and services that enterprises provide for consumers are becoming richer and more diversified.These improved the material and cultural level of people.In the meanwhile,the competition relationship among enterprises is becoming more and more drastic.It has been recognized that not only investment and strength on design and development,production and sales of product are required for improve own competition level,but also advantage in supply chain management are required to establish,in order to improve integral competitiveness of enterprise in the market.In this case,enterprises are paying more and more attention to the integral supply chain management.Warehouse management is a critical part in modern supply chain management activity.It is a transfer station connecting production and sales.Establishing efficient and reasonable warehouse management system can speed up the turnover of goods for enterprises,reduce inventory and storage costs,ensure the successful development of production and sales,and realize effective control of goods,so as to help enterprises achieve maximum profits.The quality of warehouse management directly impacts total cost of supply chain,also impacts the circulation speed of raw materials and products,and more relates to strategic objectives of the commodity chain and even the value chain of an enterprise.This dissertation first makes a comprehensive analysis of the status quo and related research of warehouse management at home and abroad,and expounds some basic concepts and management methods of warehouse management.It describes and analyzes the warehouse management status of company-X then,including three aspects: overall layout of warehousing area,warehousing related business processes and information,inventory and cost of warehousing goods.Find problem for each aspect: insufficient warehouse space and unreasonable areas division;low level of business information and slow acquisition of inventory data;high storage cost and unreasonable storage level for materials.Make analysis one by one,and find the methods to optimize and improve them: Reasonably plan and layout of the warehouse space and storage area,and implement goods allocation management;implement warehouse information system,implement and use ERP system smoothly;use ABC management method,quantitative order method,regular order method and least total cost method,manage warehouse costs and control the inventory effectively,and effectively manage sluggish inventory;so as to improve the level of warehouse management,optimize design and process,reduce the cost,and solve the problems of company.At the end of this dissertation,some unfinished matters are presented and pointed out the development direction of the future for the company.It also has important guiding significance for warehouse management of company-X.
