The living space for human beings was originally aimed to resist the beast and shelter from bad weather. With the progress of society, the living space has gradually developed into household living place for communication. As a part of interior design, home design is still an emerging discipline with unlimited potential.In recent years, designers have done many explorations in innovation of home design.This design has done a new exploration in the space transformation of modern home design, that is, the transformation and replacement of living space, in order to make the designing style, modeling and soft furnishing be updated and replaced to meet people’s requirements of different space function and aesthetic requirements. Meanwhile, the addition of "blank" to space design makes it possible to redesign living space to meet the residents’ changing requirements. Finally, in the design prospects, the modeling element of"replicable module" is proposed for home design. Whether the modules can be added or combined freely in the future design to meet the residents’ requirements is considered here, hoping to make it come true in future design.Design Bionics is used in the specific design, and the design theme is defined a s "brooding period" and "empty nest period" with the designing elements of "hive" an d "pine and crane". The theme is reflected by the geometric distortion of the rhombus, wood, crane foot and so on.Through the designing case of the specific apartment in "Happy Time" community, this design deeply explores the creation process of home design and the combination of the designing theory and practice. It explains the preliminary investigation and the establishment of the theme, the designing process and the effects in the later period. It also explores space transformation and replacement in home design.
