With the rapid development of computer technology and electronic technology, intelligent car will be a revolution of automotive electronics. The Car Monitoring and Tracking System not only can provide people with the ability to monitor and control their cars remotely, but also can help the police in cracking down on crimes and making rapid response to accidents. Vehicle terminals offer drivers many kinds of service, such as communication, video and information. It promotes the vehicle’s performance greatly. This paper analyzes the vehicle monitoring system of the structure and working principle Study of the existing embedded processor, embedded real time operating system wireless location technology, data communications technology for comparison and choice. After analyzing all the above, this paper completes a designable and realizable method of vehicle terminal system based on CDMA technology. The hardware platform of the vehicle terminal is developed based on LPC2138 processor, CDMA wireless module, GPS module and camera. With the larger build-in high speed Flash memory,The embedded real time operating system kernel μC/OS-II can be transplanted, which carries on switching and communicating between the tasks to ensure the real-time character, dependability and stability of the system. Then under this operating system, some serial interfaces drive program has been compiled and realized. The software platform of this system has been built. On the platform, according to the performance requirements, the thesis puts forward the overall frame, divides functional tasks and designs the communication mode between tasks. The system realized the anticipated functions after testing and debugging work. At the end of this paper, summary and conceives is provided which introduces the problem existing in the design and suggests alternative ideas for further research.
