| In recent years, along with the advancement of shipping in traffic and transportation and its requirement for security and management, the ship location and navigation system has become the focus of the world. This dissertation is mainly to design and realize a ship location and navigation system based on the completely research of GIS, GPS and CDMA. The ship location and navigation system based on CDMA/GPS/GIS is a mobile information platform, which has integrated Global Position System (GPS), Geographic Information System (GIS), modern wireless communication technique and computer technique. It can offer the information to monitor center in a real time mode, including location, speed, status of ship and alarming information, through wireless communication linkage. And then, the datum will be processed and the location and moving track will be shown in digital map, which realized the real time monitor for ships. Meantime, people in monitor center can perform controlling, navigation, supervising and management. The author gives a short introduction of GIS at first. And then makes a discussion about GPS, especially the structure of its signals, the basic theory and the location error of GPS. During the selection of the design of communication in ship location and navigation system, the author compares several schemes and gives a detailed introduction of the selection based on CDMA2000 1X wireless communication platform and its protocol. In the part of the ship location and navigation system, the author specifies the hardware and the physical interface of the system, showing the theory and interface of the testing and maintaining parts of the shipped GPS terminal. The author has narrated the theory and main function of the monitor center in the paper, which is the mobile information platform of the whole system, whose. The ship location and navigation system has been a commercial product and put to use in some shipping corporation with its excellent stability and expansibility. |
