Our country, which is one of the most abundant bamboo resources of the world’s countries,is rich in bamboo resources.As a natural composite material,bamboo is a kind of green environmental protection.With the rapid development of industrialization, bamboo has been widely used in the production field except for its good physical and mechanical properties of bamboo. There are some characteristics of bamboo,such as short growth cycle, well processing performance,low unit energy consumption,high sustainable utilization rate, ecological and environmental protection.At present, the research on mechanical properties of bamboo has a certain degree of development,,which provides a strong theoretical basis for the development and utilization of bamboo,has a certain achievement. In order to make the bamboo’s material service life longer as a building material, and enhance the durability of bamboo, this paper reference to wood building of tung oil corrosion in Guizhou mountain.Embalmed the bamboo with tung oil,and tested for durability and mechanical properties of tung oil processing of bamboo, we can inquiry the changes of bamboo’s mechanical properties after the durability test.And we can get the effects on the durability of bamboo by tung oil treatment.Firstly, the preservative treatment of bamboo were WCAMA six cycle test of accelerated aging and mechanical performance test in this paper. As the research object of phyllostachys parvifolia and phyllostachys pubescens, we applied separately WCAMA six cycles of bamboo accelerated aging test. And we could determine the mechanical properties of bamboo after each cycle.The test results show that tung oil processing plays a role of negative effect on the mechanical properties of the bamboo after aging test Or the effect of oil processing is not significant.Secondly,we applied the outdoor durability test in this paper.The results of test show that the tensile strength and tensile modulus of elasticity of bamboo by tung oil processing are higher than the untreated in different test environment.What’s more, the compressive strength of bamboo by tung oil processing is better than that of untreated under thecondition of light.And the compressive strength of bamboo by tung oil processing is superior to untreated in the dark environment.Finally, through comparison and analysis, the natural outdoor durability test method is more close to the natural aging.And the decay process of bamboo and the loss of mechanics performance is closer to the actual situation.
