Urban underground pipelines are known as the city’s’lifeline’. Being the most fundamental channel of the material flow and energy flow of the city, urban underground pipelines are related to all aspects of people’s life in the city and are important guarantee for the development and overall operation of urban economics. Specifically, urban underground pipelines include multiple pipelines and ancillary facilities for water supply, drainage, electricity, telecommunications, gas and telecommunications and so on. In recent years, as China’s accelerated pace of urbanization, issues like lacking of standards in construction of underground pipelines and lacking of management highlight. Frequent accidents in urban underground pipelines, e.g. poor drainage by waterlogging, explosion by pipeline leak and pavement collapse, have been serious impact on the safety of people’s lives and property.At the present stage, the management of underground pipelines in the cities of our country is weak, lagging behind the level of urban development significantly and falling behind the international level of the same industry. Still using paper drawings or cards for pipeline in underground pipeline management, incomplete pipeline data, lacking of data update, not uniform data standards, poor accuracy and other issues result in phenomena like unreasonable design in new pipeline network, digging by mistake or damaging by accident during maintenance of pipeline. To gain timely and accurate access to well updated and complete information of underground pipelines, it is imperative to carry out the information construction of underground pipelines. The main content of information construction is applying geographic information technology, computer technology and network technology in detection of underground pipelines and acquiring of all kinds of attribute data of underground pipelines, setting up underground pipeline standard database of uniform standard, constructing of information system of underground pipelines and realizing information management of underground pipelines.In information construction of underground pipelines, information system is the carrier while pipeline data is the core. Acquiring of underground pipelines and database construction are the basis of information construction of pipelines. However, the data structure are inconsistent between department of integrated management of underground pipelines and the department to which the pipelines belong, are inconsistent among different departments to which different pipelines belong, and are inconsistent between departments that conduct the general survey of pipeline and survey department. Large difference exist between two different departments in data stratification, forming’island’ in pipeline data, affecting the sharing and utilizing of pipeline information and resulting issues like repeated investment in pipeline data generation. To cope with these problems, following work are conducted. Methods of data acquiring and database construction are studied. Technology problem of integrated acquisition of data for both office work and filed work of pipeline are solved. Precise, reliable and well updated pipeline data acquiring is realized. Uniform standard of database construction is formulated. By connecting field detection and database construction in the office with the help of data loading software, integrated chain operations that include acquiring, editing, processing, checking, data loading into the database, and mapping for underground pipeline data is realized. After taking these measures, the standardization and reliability of data loaded to the database is guaranteed while complexity of data processing in the office for general survey of pipelines is simplified. The labor strength of data processing in the office is also eased while efficiency production and utilization of general survey for underground pipelines is increased.In summary, this dissertation focus on studying the data acquiring and database construction of underground pipeline data. At first, current detection technology of underground pipelines is analyzed and elaborated from a theoretical point of view. The principle of underground pipeline detection technology is briefly introduced. Basic process of current data processing in the office and database construction for underground pipelines is elaborated. Based on above mentioned work and inspired by the practical needs of production, the workflow of acquisition and consolidation of underground pipeline data is discussed. Based on this workflow, pipeline data processing software system is designed by using secondary development of AutoCAD. The structure of pipeline database is formulated based on research. The chain work of underground pipeline data production is realized. At last, combined with general survey project of underground pipelines in Ruili city, the effect of workflow that is proposed by this paper revealed in the operation of actual project is thoroughly analyzed. Key issues and essential points of the work in all working processes are studied extensively. The workflow is also compared with general domestic method from several aspects, which include work efficiency, quality of product data and so on.
