With the rapid development of road transportation in our country, heavy vehicles have become the main means of transportation. On one hand, the heavy vehicles have improved the transportation efficiency, on the other hand, it reduce the service life and service ability of pavement and buried pipelines. It is necessary to understand the dynamic load characteristics and the ground touching characteristics of tire, in the analysis of the dynamic response of the vehicle to the pavements and the buried pipeline. In order to study the heavy dump truck, a virtual prototyping model with rigid-flexible coupling of heavy dump truck was established by using SIMPACK. The tire model used fully nonlinear FTire, which can calculates carcass elastic deformation and the ground contact patch. Space domain random road model with double wheel incentive was established by using the harmony superposition method with power spectral density function. On this basis, the vehicle-road coupling vehicle dynamics model of heavy dump truck was established. The longitudinal lateral and normal force and the variation characteristics of dynamic load was studied when the vehicle passed different levels of road with different speeds. FTire was used to carry on the single tire static simulation analysis, the changes of tire sinkage, ground contact area, ground pressure and ground contact patch was analyzed under different loads and different tire pressure situations. And the ground touching characteristics was analyzed by vehicle driving dynamics simulation model under the condition of the vehicle driving. This study provided a reference for the accurate calculation of dynamic load of heavy dump truck and ground contact area, and prediction of the dynamic response of pavement and buried pipeline.
