Analysis And Exploration On The Architectural Features Of Mosques In Xi'an

Mosque, belonging to Islamic architecture, is the place where Islamic believers worship. Islam produced in West Asia, then transfered to China. Mmosques which was influenced by Chinese culture, generated a unique architectural form. This paper taking the mosque architecture as the research object, based on human culture, integrated sociology and architecture thinking,through the interpretation of the mosque cultural origin(Arab mosque), reviews the chinesization process of Arab mosque, summarizes the chinesization pattern language, and interpretate the chinesization of Chinese culture to the mosque architecture.Firstly, this paper interprets the Arab mosque cultural origin, defining the architectural language evolution model of mosque architecture in homologous culture. Secondly, comparing the architectural pattern language of Hui chinesization mosques with Arab mosques to explore the reasons for the change of the Hui mosque.Thirdly, taking the mosque in Xi’an Hui square area as a typical case, make an empirical study on the architectural space pattern language of the mosque after chinesization.Finally, put forward some suggestions on the protection of mosque architecture and the inheritance of Islamic culture.This paper chooses this topic to carry on the research and the discussion, on the one hand, to promote the development of the mosque building body better, and fill in the missing theory research of China Hui chinesization mosque architectural language;On the other hand, to extract architectural language pattern of the Hui mosque, whichis better to guide the protection and construction of the Hui square block. Lastly,recently reviewed, conducting the research to the mosque of the Islamic cultural space carrier to promote the development of Hui ethnic, and provide certain reference and basis for the inheritance of Islamic culture.
