Computer simulation can be done with computer repeatedly and is characteristicof money saving, none risk and repeatability Therefore, it is an effective and efficienttool for high-speed railway study Using simulation method, the thesis makes researchinto high-speed and medium-speed trains' cooperation on the same line, under thebackground of Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway.Single-train-running model and multiple-train- cooperation model are described indetail, and relative algorithm is given too. When introducing single-train-runningmodel, longitudinal forces acted on the train are analyzed thoroughly, Which includebasic resistance, additional resistance, braking force, tractive force and etc. Forprogramming convenience, train-running process is divided into several sub-process.Corresponding program flow chart for each sub-process is given.In introduction of multiple-train-cooperation model, interaction between trainsrunning on the same line is studied, emphasizing on distance-control and train-exchange problems, to which corresponding solutions is given.On basis of sound physical models and precedents' work, software for simulationof high-speed and medium-speed trains' cooperation is developed, with the object-orient programming method. The software has friendly user interface and can animatetrain's running process.Several simulation cases are designed and simulated with the software. Theresults are put forward and analyzed.
