The voltage change resulted from the variation and fluctuation of the power flow in the transmission network, together with the changing, non-linear and unbalanced load in the distribution net work, will lead to the deterioration of the power quality in the distribution network. For example, the voltage amplitude doesn't conform to the requirement. In the load side, the phase angles among the three-phase voltage also don抰 coincide with the requirement that requests the symmetrical supply of electrical power. PQCIS(Power Quality Controller & Stabilizer)employs the means of voltage compensation and would be an answer to such problems. In this paper, the composition and its operation principal, connecting scheme and control effect are briefly introduced. Based on these, the single phase converter system is studied in detail, including the selection of the main circuit scheme, the formation of Sine-wave Pulse- width Modulation (SPWM) signal, the design of the drive and protection circuit of IGBT, and the design of high frequency transformer. Finally, the simulation software is employed to test the effect. And the result is satisfactory.
