The Study Of Urban Space Structure Optimization With Land Use Displacement As The Main Measure---a Case Study Of Kaifeng City

With the structural reforms and economic development, the cities of ourcountry arc changing from the traditional patterns into the modern ones, and thereorganization of urban space structure (USS) will be the normal state of citydevelopment within a long period. Following this process, the weak points that thetraditional USS has caused in changing its have become more and more clear,which interact with various new problems in the transitional period. This hindersthe sustainable development of cities greatly. In this condition, the optimization ofUSS becomes more and more necessary and urgent.With the reformation of the land use system the conductions of LUD happengreatly in many cities of our country, and the structures and patterns of urbanland utilization are changing greatly. So the correct guidance to the LUD is withoutdoubt the significant way to the optimization of USS (USSO), which is also a majorproblem of the study of our cities.Based on such thoughts, the paper applies the theory of urban planning,urban geography and urban economics, and some relative theory of sustainabledevelopment and which is based on the summary of the basic theory of USS athome and abroad and its research, Kaifeng as a case, the paper studies the processof the USSO with LUD as the main measure.Besides the introduction and conclusion, this paper can be divided into fiveparts:Part â… : This paper studies the definition of USS and summarizes andexplains briefly the basic theory of USS at home and abroad. According to thisanalysis of the influential factors and mechanism system of USS, the author thinksthat the change of USS is influenced by the market and the government.Part â…¡: Based on the connotation and its features of LUD, the paperemphatically explores the key roles of LUD in USSO from three respects: renew ofurban function the adjustment of land utilization structure and the optimization ofthe opcn space system.Part III: Based on the brief revicw of Kaifcng city and its historicaI process ofspace structure nowadays the paPer points out the characteristics and problems ofKaifeng's USS (the state of urban space with single center and one circle structure;tke population and architectural density and its collfused function of the oId cityarea; its imbalance of Urbau land utilisation: the open spaces needed improving,etc).
