Short-term economic dispatching of multi-reservoir system plays an important role for power system optimal operation. so correct and rational arrangement of its operation mode is very important to the whole power system security * stability and economic operation . A short-time economic dispatching model of the multi-reservoir system have been put forward, directed against the state that taking experience as basis of dispatching to multi-reservoir system of the upper reaches of the Yellow River group of power system of Gansu province. On the basis of analysis of the running characteristic of the hydroelectric power plant, this paper proposes the relation expressions of hydraulic turbine optimum output curve and optimum water consumption. And think that it is most effective to run when the hydraulic turbine is run on this curve. Regard this as the foundation of setting up mathematics model. Besides, this paper have analyzed factors that restrict multi-reservoir system power station, and turn former problem into retrained non- linear planning problems. In order to seek dissipative energy most low as goal of optimizing in one dispatching cycle, a mathematical model have been set up, regarding various kinds of restrictions and with penalty function to solve this issue. While meeting the given day-load and every comprehensive utilization requirement, receive the optimum dispatching mode of the multi-reservoir system.
