Study Of Satellite Monitoring Ship's Spilled Oil On The Sea Of TaiWan Strait

The monitoring of spilled oil on sea is an important part of continual development strategy. The spilled oil is one of the commonest pollution on sea .Taiwan strait is situated in the important place for navigation and there are heavy wind and billow causing many accidents. So, the place is one of crucial protecting areas.We have gotten the regulation of drawing the information from spilled oil and the methods of processing spilled oil through experimentation of the different thick oil spectral feature , disposing data from two kinds of satellite and composing satellite images of different channel. The spilled oil includes crude oil, fuel oil, diesel oil, lubricant, kerosene. We have made use of satellite Landsat? and NOAA for monitoring the pbllution'of diesel oil caused by collision of "Chunying" and "Maya?" ship at Laotieshan channel on Jun. 8.1990, the pollution of crude oil at south of Suangtaizi bayou Liaoning province on May. 12.1993, the pollution of lubricant caused by sinking of "Zhepuyuyou?1" on May 1 1996, the pollution of oil caused by collusion at near of xiamen xiongdi island on April. 29.1995, and the pollution of diesel oil caused by collusion of"Xiongyuecheng" ship in May. 20.1995. We can not only locate the place of the spilled oil , its destribution and area , but also infer the drifting direction and speed of the spilled oil then find the oil original location by analyzing a series of days' satellite data.On the basis of practice of many year .monitoring spilled oil by remote sensing is a new method and it is.feasible for advantages of large area, more time, series, synchroniztion, economy, so it adapts to ournation' s condition. The method can provide foundation for strengtheninglaw .visible data for programming ,treating ,using sea ,and scientific foundation for administrational punishment and civil accuse .
