Research On The Adaptability Proportion Of Design, Construction And Quality Control Of SMA

Being greatly influenced by the nowadays climate and the characteristics of present traffic, the widely used traditional asphalt pavement structure in the highway construction cannot suit to the change of temperature. The early-staged breakage of road surface gets much more serious. Those facts accelerate the understanding and spread of SMA. With the spreading of the application of SMA, we also experienced the failures. How to avoid those disadvantages during the application of SMA, and ensure the best performance of SMA has become the key of research.This article firstly gives a brief introduction of the formation mechanism of SMA and the handling property of pavement from the aspects of theory and research. Then it discusses how to ensure the better performance of SMA pavement from the aspects of adaptability proportion of SMA structure design, construction and quality control. Also it gives an analysis of SMA economic efficiency. In the end, this article forecasts the application of SMA, and gives the general suggestions from those aspects.
