Alkali-manganese battery is the new-style kind of the time having many merits, such as big-capability, long-life. It use new materials that making the resistance of the battery less, and it also use the up-to-date technology, so that making the battery have such lodging characters. Consequently, Alkali-manganese battery will be using broadly in the future.Before the Alkali-manganese battery is used by the customer, it will be checkout for it's quality. After searches in El of America, We can not find a instrument that can be used to check the battery's parameter, expressly for it's all four. So, the paper give a new method to examine all the four parameters (opening voltage, load voltage, short circuit, weight) of the Alkali-manganese battery. It centralizes the battery's all characters in one instrument, use the battery's weight as it's capacity's representation. The paper also discusses the examine method of the short circuit by using several different way.Because of the high resistance input, measurement for the parameter of voltage have preferable precision. The way is to choose a appropriate A/D.Weight can indicate battery's capacity. So the task add the measure of battery's weight, and the technique is popular use, such as press sensor.Nowadays, battery' s current parameter use the short circuit as it's qualitatively symbol. The paper discusses the way's defect and gives a new method for the short circuit's measurement.Because of the Alkali-manganese battery's own characteristic, its short circuit is not stable. Its voltage, short circuit and resistance have not linear relation. And the temperature also affects its short circuit, when the temperature is higher, the short circuit is lower. When the battery is short joined directly, there is lots of heat in the battery to make the temperature be higher. So the short circuit is changed. Furthermore, shot joined directly is very harmful to the battery. As the result, the short circuit have different data, even the battery from the samefactory. In use, the battery is not short joined directly, so the short current can not indicate the battery's function.So, we use a new method to measurement the battery's current index. We join a little resistance in the circuit, and use the loop current as the index for the shout current. This method has three merits: first, reduce the harm to the battery; second, this current is stable; the last, the current may represent the battery's current function better.In order to study this problem, we design a install to make lots of experiments to prove this result. The install can use in the factory as a automation instrument if it be perfected. Because of many factor, there also have some error.
