Yunnan province is a grate passage which connects Southeast Asia and South Asia with China. It plays an important part in accelerating the pace of developing west China and promoting the economical corporation with our neighbors. Making thoroughfare between China and Burma can not only intense the district superiority, but also push the development of China and Southeast Asia and build up the first sea road to Indian Ocean for us. Yiluowadi River connects China with Southeast Asia. The development and application of it is so important that the transportation career can affect economy of China and its neighbor.Yiluowadi River is the biggest river in Burma, which is a mother of the Burma people. The old brilliant civilization came out from here, all of the Burmese respect it and all of these cause Yiluowadi River to be "The River of God". Yiluowadi River begins the chayu district in Tibet, running through Yunnan province, and goes into Indiar Ocean in the end, 2200 kilometer long. In ancient times, there are some ships came and went in this river. But science the poor technology of ship building in Burma and the complicated condition of Yiluowadi River, nowadays, the conveyances in the river do not suit with the economical developing of our world little by little. The rapid changes in the world can not allow this kind of transportation to exist for most of them have prohibited the corporation with others. Under the background my research has been born. It consists of three parts, including four chapters.There is only one chapter in the first pare. The origin and significance of the study is introduced in them. The present situation and development of this kind study is also reviewed in them.The second part is concerned with the pusher design and ship-dimensional optim zation. In chapter three the integrated barge has been introduced. Out of the lack of the river information, the standard integrated barge has been adopted, for theresult of my study could not be so unique. In order to set up a good base for the ship assignment the pusher-dimension has been optimized. As we have known, there are a lot of ways to solve the ship-dimension optimization problems, but whether a new method can make it successfully too. Kxpecting to find a special mathematic tool, even design method first has been introduced in ship building, which is a creative point: in this paper. Chapter two has expounded the theory and usage of even design method mainly. Although even design method has been applied in many fields in our country and an abound of facts have testified the superiority, in ship design, nobody has researched it. From this point, whether even design method could accomplish the task of pusher-dimension is still a question. In this paper, even design method has been used in both pusher-dimension optimization and fleet assignment, exploring its effectuation. In chapter four, the scientific optimal method is used, and get out the better pusher and fleet for other work.The third part is concerted with distributing ships for certain navigation line. In order to finding the best structure of fleets, the nonlinear optimization method is adopted in chapter five, studying distributing ships for certain navigation line. In the part fuzzy programming has been connected with nonlinear optimization method, which is more suitable and natural with reality. This is another creative point of this paper. The whole program is designed for common use of ship assignment.The program of this paper is made in the situation of Visual Basic6.0. Besides it, the paper gives clean and useful interfaces. The relationship is made successfully between VB and MATLAB, in order to use the calculating function of MATLAB fully and improve the ability of this program. For this, more accurate result is obtained. This paper gives a new idea for the optimization of the ship principal dimension.
