This topic satisfies the need of the JiaLing group to new product development. We emphasize the research and development of the front and rear suspension used in the large displacement luxury motorcycle .The important conclusions list as below:Through a lot of work on working principle research and compared with different types of suspension now in use ,we decided the general lay and type of suspension used in the JiaLing 250cc luxury motorcycle. After the theory and the practice unified numerous work has been done such as the theory calculation to the motorcycle suspen -sion system, structural design, drawing product blueprint, machining or producing, performance testing, road testing. And the production has already been finalized .According to the theory of vehicle vibration we build the five freedom vibration model. Using MATLAB SIMULINK software we carry on the analysis and obtained the frequency response characteristic of the suspension system under the input of the stochastic road surface. And we determined the characteristic parameter and design parameter of the suspension system, we carry on structural design of the shock absorber using the knowledge of Hydromechanics, Hydraulic transmission and The machine design theory. Furthermore we carry on Jhe intensity analysis of the major part of the shock absorber.Both in room test and road test the shock absorber we designed for the 250cc motorcycle shows to us grand handling, drive comfort and adaptability to the road.
