Motorcycle Single Shock Absorber Suspension System Design

Currently, the common rear suspension system of motorcycle consists mostly of double-shock-absorber. But with the increasing of consumption standard of people for motorcycles, the traditional rear suspension system cannot entirely satisfy user's request. The application of single-shock-absorber rear suspension system greatly improves motorcycles' readability , the comfortableness for riding, the suitability for road, and gives more space for rear layout. In this paper, through analyzing the foreign typical rear suspension system, the motion and forcing law of single-shock-absorber rear suspension system is mastered, and our design scheme on actual models is provided according to JL125CE of Jialing company, at the same time, the samples have been accomplished and improved with the help of professional companies. The feasibility and quality of design has been validated, through life-span tests of springs and dampers, evaluation of readability and road tests of complete motorcycle of 16000km. And all these establish firmly foundation for JL125CE motorcycle stepping up to market with superexcellent quality.
