| With the development of the electric railway, the application of the electric locomotive is more extensive. The dynamic characteristic of the pantograph-catenary system affects directly the qualities of the collecting electricity current and the reliability of the locomotive movement. So it does need us to analyze them theoretically and imitate them with the aid of computer.The study on pantograph-catenary system is mainly focus on dynamic behavior, such as analysis of the contact force, study of parameters and structure, investigation of wear, etc. About the study on strength of catenary, there is very few paper published in the journal of Vehicle System Dynamics. In fact, along with the growth of running speed of train, the tension and stress in catenary become more and more. Meanwhile with the increase of running speed of the pantograph, the vibration of catenary becomes stronger. It not only makes the contact force vibrate violent, but also makes the stress in cables of catenary become large and wave. It influences the reliability deeply. So author likes to make known the dynamic stress of catenary, and compare the strength of different type of catenary in this paper.When a pantograph run under the catenary, it leads the catenary vibration and makes the contact force between contact wire and pantograph head wave. It means the stress in cables of catenary is dynamic. By establisning the FEM model of catenary, the mode of catenary has been gotten. Regarding the mode of the catenary as the generalized variable, the model of pantograph-catenary system is established and the contact force is calculated. Using the time domain contact force as the external moving load of FEM model of catenary. The dynamic stress of catenary has been simulated. Not only the dynamic stress of catenary at each element can be gained, but also the motipn of catenary can be calculated for each time step. The dynamic stress of the simple catenary and elastic stitched catenary are analyzed and compared in this paper. |
