There are two destinations for ship technical management, equipment maintenance and cost control, which reveals the core competitive capability of modern shipping company. It is the great challenge for the shipping company to adopt the proper policy of technical management to adapt them in the ever-competitive environment.Till now, there were four stages in the development of technical maintenance, after repair, beforehand repair, daily maintenance and integrated management. Nowadays, to maximize the entire efficiency the technical management, many shipping companies have introduced the policy of life cycle cost management and total productive maintenance and logistics. With the development of computer and diagnose technology, people have made great progress in the technical management in reliability, safety and economy sides.In this dissertation, based on the maintenance mode of COSCO Container Lines, the author retrospect the development of technical manage, analyzes the management mode, maintenance system and cost control system of COSCON by comparing with the latest development in the world, and absorbing its experience. The author argues the following steps to optimize the technical management of COSCON fleet: project the management base center; introduce the index of standard and performance; detail the cost estimation; evaluate the performance of major equipment; adopt the computer system and strategic outlook.The author appeals that to be one of the market leaders in the shipping industry, COSCO Container Lines should introduce the latest theory and refresh its ship technical management system as soon as possible.Xu Zheng-jun (MTE) Directed by: Gao De-yi Xu Li-rong...
