Modern excitation system of synchronous generator plays an important role in improving the reliability and stability of power system nowadays. Unfortunately, there are some problems in it yet in China.The problems are: the connection among parts in excitation regulation system is so tight that it is easy to go wrong; it is difficult for maintenance and upgrade; the functions of its MMI are absent. By the progress of computor technology, some advanced conception begin to be introduced in modern excitation system, it provide the technology support for the development of modern excitation system.This subject is finished under the conditions.In the paper, after taking into consideration the balance of real time control, reliability and device economy, the "three confirming two" multi- channels redundancy policy is issued, which resolves the problems of switching logic ecomplexity and controlling difficultly; The imagine of the net excitation regulation system is taken the lead in isssuing in-country, by decentralizing the sample and control into the parts of the system, a kind of new all distributed excitation regulation sytem is constructed; the MMI software of the excitation regulation system is compiled, which is inheritable.Some tests are accomplished for verifying availability and correctness in this paper, it is proved that the excitation regualtion system provided in this paper is stable, high reliable and has excellent performance.
