Waterlog is a serious urban disaster. It has destructive effect to economical and political life in urban. As a powerful tool for handling spatial information, GIS plays an important role in the analysis and the prevention of urban waterlog disaster. The thesis focuses on how to use GIS to build urban waterlog analysis model, evaluation model and countermeasure model. In the process of building model, the author used many GIS functions such as raster spatial analysis; spatial statistics, network analysis and optimum distribution of goods. With these models, we can analyze, evaluate urban waterlog disaster and take effective measures to withstand urban waterlog disaster rapidly, exactly and high-efficiently. These three models will play a key role in the project of urban disaster resistance and reduction.
