The 500KV electric power nets have replaced the 220KV electric power nets and transformed and exchanged the power energy in big area power system from the period of "NINE-FIVE". It is the most important thing in power system that regulating and elevating the structure of the power system and transforming the energy from west to east in the "TEN-FIVE" plan. The first 500KV AC project between east-north and HuaBei power system has been made in China in 2000. the season energy in GuangXi and YunNan and GuiZhou has been transported to GuangDong in the south interconnected power system. The exchanging energy in power system has sharply increased from MongXi to JingJunTang and from HuaZhong to HuaDong. With the development of the Three Gorges Project, the power system in many provinces shall be connected in China.The reform of detaching generators from power grid and competing the price among generation companies has been made in 1998. there been formally founded 5 generator groups and 2 power grid corporations and 4 ancillary business groups in 2002. this embodied the China energy industry from the vertically integrated utility to the restructured environment.With the development of the interconnected power grid and the electricity market, there are several heat points in modifying the generalAuto Generation Control. These is as follows: Study of AGC ControlStrategy in Interconnected Power System; study of distributed regulated control about AGC; the implementation about the control mode of TBC; the new technique application in AGC ;the production of the coordination automatic system (SCADA/AGC/EMS/DTS/DMS/TMS) . This paper also simulate the heat questions with MATLAB software.In chapter 1, the heat problems and the background of this thesis are summarized, as well as the development of this subject in China and foreign countries.The foundation theory of AGC is introduced in chapter 2. The hardware and software technique about AGC is presented. At last, several optimal control methods used in AGC is compared.In chapter 3, this paper compares the two types of AGC control performance standard released by North American Electric Reliability Council (NERC). They are CPC and CPS/DCS. The improvement method of the nowadays AGC system based of CPS/DCS standards is proposed. The simulation model of the two area power system is developed. The new control performance results are discussed. Results of simulation show that the proposed method is simple and available. This new effective control method makes AGC system in the big area power grid reach CPS/DCS standards.The mathematic model of the electricity market of AGC is proposed in chapter 4. This paper developed a framework for new market structure to understand AGC implementation in the price-based operation. Three sets of case are reported. This studies illustrate how to simulate bilateral and poolco based transactions respectively in the new market place.In chapter 5, the policy of the ancillary service between New-England market and England market is compared. The suggestion about the ancillary service in China is listed.The simulation AGC model based in Neural networks have been applied very successfully in chapter 6. the simulation result presents this neural networks controller has more robust stability.This paper analyses the heat points with mathematic methods and makes mathematic model and proposes the new suggestion. This paper has the high level of theory and the good value of application.
