Nowadays power grids can be considered as being divided into several controlareas that are connected by tie-lines on the basis of the power market's mechanism.As a primary measure to implement load frequency control (LFC), operation ofautomatic generation control (AGC) directly influences the quality of the power grids.Therefore, in recent years, much attention of the electric power dispatchingautomation has been drawn to control performance assessing standard and controllogic of AGC. The subject of great significance in practice is studied and discussedcompletely in this thesis. At first, this paper introduces the background, fundamentaland the control process of AGC. It also introduces the standard about how to evaluatethe control performance of AGC and the AGC module based on the power market.What's more, the author also analyzes and compares the referred theories and modules.Finally, on the basis of the theory studying, combined with intelligent control, theauthor provides the AGC control strategy adapted to the CPS standard and the AGCcontrol strategy on the context of the power market. The simulation result based onMATLAB and LABVIEW shows that this method has strong self-learning ability,which ensures that a favorable control effect can be achieved even though facing acomplex non-linear system. Meanwhile, its performance can satisfy the expectedstandard.
