The Traditional Dwelling House Of Muslim Of The Hui Nation In Gansu Province

The Hui nation is the one of nation whose population is not only the most, but also whose range is the largest. Gansu province is the main area of Muslim's inhabitation in the west-north area of China. Therefore, the traditional dwelling house of the Hui nation in Gansu province takes on the character which is the result of interacting of two nations' culture: the Hai nation's and the Zang nation's. And it also takes on its national and religious character because the all population of the Hui nation believe the Islam.The study of the inhabitation of the Hui nation is based on the cases in Gansu province. The content stress on the culture, space, and construction of the traditional dwelling house of the Hui nation, which central clue is the religious character and background of the nation .The whole dissertation can be divided into three parts:The first part, the 2nd chapter, is the general description of the natural surroundings and social background of the traditional dwelling house of the Hui nation.The second part which comprises the 3rd, 4th,and 5th, is the deep-going study of the national dwelling house, not only from the whole to the detail, but also from the gathering inhabit to the single house. Firstly the gathering inhabit is studied by using some cases to analyze the general character of the composition. Secondly, the traditional dwelling house of the Hui nation is grouped by analyzing the different character of the lives of Muslim, and is inducted four basic types of the single house. Further more, we can study all kinds of the forms of the atriums' being comprised, and induct a graph to analyze the different types.The third part, which comprise the 6th, 7th and 8th chapter, is based on the study of the first and the second parts. It is the conclusion of the object, not only from the whole view of the character of the dwelling house of the Hui nation, but also from the detail view, such as ornaments.According to the above study, the author's survey and the present cases, constructive idea and measures are put forward.
