Servo system plays an important role in defense construction, industrial production, transport and communication even family life. The structural factors of the precision gearing system in servo system, such as total transmission ratio, transmission error, return difference, natural frequency have the very important influence on servo systematical property. The design of precision gearing system should satisfy not only the design of requirement general precision machinery but also the precision and property requirement of the servo system. Therefore we must analyze the influence of these structural factors. Transmission error and the return difference are the most important precision index in the precision gearing system and their influence on servo system is also the most important, so their accurate calculation is a necessary work. Additionally, product's actual transmission error and return difference need to be measured in order to inspect whether they are in accord with design requirement. To reduce the influence of these factors, some measures should be taken to improve the servo systematical performance.Through analyzing the influence of the precision gearing system on dynamic and static quality of servo system, the calculation formula of transmission error and return difference have been further analyzed and the measures how to reduce them have been proposed. Major study content in the paper is described in the following. (1) The influence of precision gearing system structural factor on servo systematical performance have been analyzed, and measures that can raise servo systematical performance have been summarized. (2) Calculation formula of the transmission error and return difference have been derived and measures to reduce them have been proposed. (3) Software about design and analysis of precision gear installation has been developed. (4) An example of design and analysis, three-dimensional modeling, transferring to project drawing has been given. (5) Experiment and study on transmission error has been carried out.
