With the development inertial instruments, FOG has advanced and fits for the application of strapdown navigation. Aimed at a practical engineering project, the paper completes the design and realization of FOG strapdown navigation system based on DSP.The paper first generalizes basic principle and the mathematics model of strapdown navigation. FOG is introduced. The paper majors in designing the hardware and software of digital signal processing sections of strapdown navigation. It can be divided into 3 parts. First designs the high precision reading system of accelerators in the kernel of ADC & FPGA. The paper introduce the technique of EDA, on it, logical function has been stigmatized by VHDL language, the design of hardware become more flexible.Second based on high performance DSP-TMS320C32, design and realizing the hardware of the system-mainboard of data collecting and processing. It includes 1) external memory system 2) the interface of accelerators and FOG 3) DART 4) Boot Loader 5) decoding and reset system 6)interface of JTAG.Last on the hardware of mainboard, the Boot table which is used in Boot Loader, analogical uart and program of strapdown system are completed by assemble language and C language.Under the characteristics of system, data collected in interrupt mode, processed by timer and filter in interrupt service routine have innovation.In the experiment, the system works stable, achieve the function of strapdown navigation. It will be the basic of practical project.
