Object-oriented Simulation (OOS) provides a more natural framework for modeling real world. It is one of the directions of current development of simulation. It allows constructing the simulation model of a real system with a more understandable way and viewing the behavior of the model at a meaningful level. On the basis of the Object-oriented technique, this paper makes a deep study on the simulation object, the simulation language, the modeling method and the simulation realization of the secondary electrical system of hydropower station. In the study of this paper, the simulation object includes the automation of hydropower station, transformer substation and relay protection, which are all realized by the secondary circuit drawings. The simulation language, Visual C++ based on OO, makes the simulation real, universal, transplantable and extensible because of its special characteristics of inheritance, encapsulation, polymorphism and message pattern. The modeling method is based on theory of network and topological algebra. It makes the piles of secondary circuit drawings and the software system an organic whole by networking, topologizing the T-drawings and making the connection of all systems abstract and logical. Furthermore, this paper gives the way of dealing with the secondary circuits based on data files. Based on all the above the paper realizes the simulation of a large hydropower station. The paper settles the problem of real-time simulation by using equal-time-stepping method and accomplishes the LAN communications by WinSock network programming. Finally, the paper also researches a builder of data files in order to reduce the boring labor and shorten the cycle of software development.
