Now, with the emergence of "power shortage" , the active power is seriously lack. So, it is difficult to implement active optimization, however the reactive optimization can decrease net loss and reduce energy consumption indirectly or cut down the cost of power generations, and is very important for the power system to run economically, safely and reliably.The traditional calculating program of reactive optimization is lacking of GUI (Graphic User Interface) , is of too much work on input primitive data of network, easy to make mistakes and difficult to integrate with other analysis functions, the show of results is not visual, and so on. Based on the style of Windows operating system, the development of power system software with Windows interface is becoming the maintrend. In the past, the development of system softwaremainly used Procedure Oriented Programming. It is the main reason for it to enhance and integrate with other functions difficultly. With the development of the graphical reactive optimization analysis program, this thesis discussed the application of 00T (Object-Orie -nted Technique)in power system software development and has mainly completed the tasks as listed below:(l)This thesis studies the basic theory of sub-network reactive optimization, its effects on voltage and net loss.(2)The method of Var adjustment and compensation is studied.(3) An Object-Oriented model of power system is presented, including the detailed dynamic modeling of the components in power system. The model is pertinent to the real condition of power system and has the characteristics of great generality and flexibility.(4)Based on the 00 model founded , a power system diagram editor is developed which is easy to learn and use . It is convenient to integrate all kinds of analysis program with the editor and a vivid and consistent man-machine interface(MMI) is provided.(5)The mathematic model of reactive optimazitionfor sub-network is set forth in this thesis. Its objective function is made to reduce network loss of power system. The binding limits of it is mainly on the ratio of regulating transformer, node voltage and capacity of the reactive power compensation .The reactive optimization analysis system of sub-network using Object-Oriented Technique provides a vivid and friendly man-machine interface (MMI). According to the test of a given system in ShanXi , the software has the conspicuous economic benefit and is easy to operate , which further proves the immense potentiality of the application of OOT in power system software.
