| With the development of network technology, Internet/Intranet technology is becoming ripeness gradually, which makes the produce mode of enterprises from independent into network and cooperative produce. In the information age, the development of manufacturing industry has advanced higher requests for product design. Traditional stand-alone design software of mechanical products has not satisfied with the needs of the practice produce, and the direction of product design is turning to network and cooperative design from stand-alone. Moreover, using repeated and sharing the existing design resources and design results in most limits during the process of product design, it can shorten the periods of product design; increase the economical benefits of enterprises; enhance the market competition ability for enterprises. Establishing the design resources sharing system; realizing the using repeated and sharing of design resources; improving the abilities of product design and innovation, it is adapting to the trend of the computer and network technologies' application and development in manufacturing industry.According to the status and trends of the product design, and by considering with the requirements of design resources sharing system, the gear design system based upon design resources sharing has been studied in this paper, a three-tier Browser/Server structure for the design resources sharing system has been put forward, and a gear design system based on design resources sharing has also been developed. The implement method and some key technologies for developing thissystem are also discussed in the paper. The main points and conclusions of the paper are as following:(1) After analyzing the characteristics of design resources sharing system, a design resources sharing system with three-tier B/S structure has been presented in this paper, and the structure, running mode, and function modules of this system are also given out. The principles and realization methods of establishing the design resources sharing system are proposed by using the ASP, COM (Component Object Model) and Web technologies.(2) Some key technologies, such as database technology, COM technology and some other correlation technologies of realizing the design resources sharing system have been discussed particularly. The principles and realizing methods of designing database, connecting database, controlling and dealing with the parallel affairs are put forward. The characteristics and interface design of COM are also discussed. The theory basis has been established and the support technologies have been put forward for developing the design resources sharing system.(3) The development method and the realizing technology of gear design system based on design resources sharing have been studied. The methods of database design and realization for gear design system have also been put forward.(4) The flow chart for developing the gear design system based upon design resources sharing has been proposed in this paper, and the gear design module has been developed using COM technology. The module's register method and its using way in pages are also discussed.(5) The secure strategy of database management has been studied. Some technologies to safeguard the database have been given out, such as the right-distribute strategy, the secure log strategy, the data backup strategy and the management strategy of SQL Server etc.(6) A gear design system based on the design resources sharing has been developed successfully, and the sharing of design resources based on network has been realized. |
