B / S Structure Power Monitoring Database Access Technology

This paper is concentrated on the research and development of the module of data access of the Browser/Server structured Monitoring System of Power and Environment of the Past Office.The implementation of this module adopts the mode of Browse/Server. A very important aspect to develop B/S system is the application of the technology of access to the WEB database, and this technology is on the developing phase. There are many schemes to access the WEB database, due to this reason, the paper designs a scheme to solve this problem by analyzing the advantages and shortcomings of many types of popular schemes to access the WEB database. This scheme integrates Universual Data Accesss Technology of Microsoft, which plays a more and more important role in three-lay C/S (Client/Server) and uses the technology of ADO (Active Data Access),adopts the ASP script language in display the results and uses Stored Procedure of SQL Server in databases design. In the system of B/S, client realizes a high efficient access to the server database through displaying diversified Active controls in browser and using ADO to access the data source. The disposing of data accures under the database not in the font of this system.This kind of scheme cannot only bring the system a higher real time response, but also decrease data runoff of the networks, lower the possibility that WEB server becomes bottleneck of the system and make the system more transplantable.The scheme of this system presented by this paper can preferably satisfy the performance requirement of the monitoring system, and it is one choice to solve the problem of the deficiency of access to traditional heterogeneous database. Because the technology of midterm tier is derived from three-lay C/S system, the scheme has the use for reference to those designers who want to transform the system from C/S mode to B/S mode.
