The Research Of Power Management Information System Base On Enterprise LAN

With the development of the electric power industry (EPI), the processed information becomes heavier and heavier and also more and more important. The collecting, transmitting, processing and storing of the information with numerous categories are heavy and the existing management doesn't adapt it. Therefore, it has become one of the important goals of the EPI to change current management method and establish a new management system, from which the EPI will benefit. In this thesis, the distributed electric power management information system (EPMI) was discussed based on intranet, which is the latest research in EPMI. The center computer of the intranet connects to the distributed multiuser network. It will automatically read the customer's purchase data and consumption data and settle customer's account accordingly. It can also offer the query, analysis and inspection information. This research is primarily divided into below three parts:Firstly, the intranet of the electric power enterprise was designed. The intranet adopts the structure of star topology, the network operate system adopts the Windows NT Server 4.0 and the firewall adopts the dual sink gateway firewall . The intranet provides these services: Telnet, Ftp, E-mail etc. To satisfy with the convenient communication among the user within the LAN, the message passing, TALK, based on LAN was developed by the tools of Powerbuilder7.0.Secondly, the system database of the EPMI is designed. SQL Server 7.0 is used to develop the database system, which consists of below five data tables: customer account table, power failed information table, manager information table, communication port table, watch reading approach table.Finally, the management system is developed. PowerBuilder 7.0 is used to develop the system software, which can complete these performances: periodically reading the watch, customer purchase, query, print, and so on.
