Geographical Information System (GIS) has been developed rapidly, and more and more business software appear. Firstly ,this paper discusses the principle, the technique feature and the system integration of GIS, in which the work principle of GJS based on C/S and B/S is stressed especially. In power station, many factors are related to geographic position such as pipes, equipments, workshops and section offices. If used GIS, many management will become more centralized and visualized, and will give decision support to manufacture and management, and improve the work efficiency for power station. This paper analyzes GIS in power station, and divides it into three parts, the management of underground pipes, the management of inspection and repair, and the display of real time data. With the combination of C/S and B/S. we use the OLE embed technique and Web GJS in designment. In order to visualize the underground pipes more clearly, we use three-dimensional function of OpenGL to show the result of pipe space analysis with three-dimensions, which is also a feature of this system.
