Automatic Control Of Voltage And Reactive Power Of Substation

This paper analyzed the principle of voltage and reactive power automatic control and presented the strategy of automatic voltage control. Based on the strategy the automatic voltage and reactive power control device was developed. The device is controlled by microcomputer and can adjust the ratio of transformer and switch the capacitor automatically according to operating condition. The filed test was made in Guangping substation of Handan power supply company and the results of filed test indicated that the device is successful and it improved the voltage quality and power factor at various load condition.
