With the capability of electrical system increasing, the former device can not yet satisfy what the dispatching automation asks for the remote terminal unit on reliability, rapidity and accuracy. The new measurement and control device, which undertakes the task of measurement and control, is one kernel part in the bay of substation automation system. Based on microcontroller application system, It's initial and essential to develop its fundamental software functions. The Component Oriented Analysis and Design Modeling Method is developed into a diagram solution tool in the course of the software development practice ,which supports the component oriented software development process,and can be used as a general software development method.By using the Component Oriented Analysis and Design Modeling Method and related software engineering techniques, the software system analysis and design techniques for the device are researched . In addition, the main applied programming techniques and user interfaces display are discussed. Furthermore, sampling and processing of AC , including some AC sampling algorithms , are reached. Mainly, FFT algorithm and full-wave Fourier algorithm are discussed. Calculation of active power and imaginary power is researched. Parameter selection of filtration and calculation of are attained.
