Development Of Auxiliary Software For Substation Design

Some calculations are often faced by designers when they are going to designing the substation,such as DC system calculation,grounding resistance calculation check and calculation for capacity of Voltage transformer and Current transformer.The result of the calculation is theoretical base of selection of electric equipment,and will be needed to publish as designing report.However,the above calculations make designers have some problems,that the complex calculation method,large amounts of data inputting.With the rapid development of software programming,many engineering application software category is promoted and used.However,professional software company usually put bare attention on the above mentioned small computation applications,instead of large-scale computing applications.Thence,it is needed to develop the auxiliary calculation software solving the calculations.The auxiliary calculation software will be developed with Microsoft's C # high level programming language.The software consists of three parts Including:1)35kV,110 kV and 220 kV substation DC system battery capacity calculation,charging cable calculation,the number of charging modules;2)calculating the resistance of the substation grounding grid and checking step potential and contact potential of the grounding grid;3)calculating the capacity of Current Transformer and Voltage transformer used in the substation.The formul used by the software refer to the national standards and electrical code for design.The software is easy to use,because it simplify inputting data,and help making statistics of whole DC load of the substation,that is usually take a lot of time to counted the DC loads by human work.The software is developed for the designer of electricity,so it has a special function: converting the result of calculation to the designing report,that is asked to published as a official works.The paper make a detailed presentation of the theory of computing method used by the software,and designing idea of software.In the end the paper make summary of all the work and proposed directions for improvement of the software.
