Along with the national economy's development, with people's population increasing, and with the live level improving, the scale of supplying water continuously extends, the process of that increasingly complicated, and the intelligence with gathering information request higher and higher. But the manage of supply water still is placed in the phenomenon of behind schedule appearance, and water resources is wasted very seriously, in densely populated region where widespread water is shortage. Now, it is in front of people, how to optimize supply water, and how to set up the water supply systems.This paper designs a supervising and controlling project for the district supply water system, based on the actual problems. One kinds of the most advanced technique is adopted. The super-speed industy Ethernet is used as the main net, and PROFIBUS is applied in the layer of spot equipments. Since many data are handled, the fiber-optic net is needed in the central control room. The data include the process tags from the control stations, the orders to the control stations, and the data from Internet. Especially the "three defend" center can be connected in the key moment. In so doing, water resource can be optimized. The control stations apply PROFIBUS, in order to satisfy the need that no man is on duty some time. The project can supervise and control on spot or long-distance, and be operated by hands or auto. The configuration makes it supervise and control directly, briefly. The supply water network proves that FCS(Fieldbus control system) is more completed and higher dependable than that of CCS(Center control system) and DCS(distributing control system), regardless the total design, hardware installation, or software design.Because the supply water system is large-scale, the pump stations are many, the ways of supply water are complicated, and the adjustable spare is large, the whole data in the optimization of supply water, the flux and its variety regulations in thecontrol stations can't be acquired. The paper predicts supply water during the process based on the theory of artificial neural network control. The optimization has two steps. First, regarding the least expenses of whole water supply system as the target, the flux of each water supply station can be calculated by the recursion method. Secondly you can optimize flux in each station, to gain the minimum energy. In the end, this project is simulated by computer, and circulates during the small scope, and the good result can be attained.This paper applies artificial neural network theory and PROFIBUS technology, and provides a beneficial quest. It brings up the own standpoint and suggests that how to reform current water supply network systems, and how to make it match the modernization. This kind network should be applied broader and broader.
