| The mechanical construction plays an important role during the expressway's fast improving course in our country. The mechanical construction is the main fashion of modern engineering construction, and also represents the direction of highway construction. The mechanical construction involves many aspects including the machine's selection and equipment, the confirmation of the construction blue print and the construction technics or method, the construction management and organization as well as the construction quality control. This thesis introduces the concept of the machine-group of the expressway mechanical construction system. This system is composed of two contents such as the hardware and software. The hardware part means the real machines at construction site. The latter means not only the confirmation of the construction technichs but also the organization and management in situ.Firstly the thesis analysis the basis principia of the selection and equipment of the expressway mechanical construction according to the practice got from the local construction of JiangSu expressway and also brings forward all kinds of machines which can be selected on the base of analyzing the commonly used machine. Secondly it discusses the machine-group system and the quality control of roadbed and road surface subsection construction. The key to enhance the work efficiency is how to equip the excavator and tipping lorry during the roadbed construction. However, during the course of the road surface construction, the key is how to select and organize the roller and the road-mixing equipment. As to assure the construction quality, how to select and equip reasonably the mix-station, the blade grader as well as the roller is the most important.It is very useful to do research for the machine-group system about the highway mechanical construction as which can improve the enterprise' benefit, guarantee the engineering quality and reduce the construction period.
