The construction projects of the present age require the reform of the traditional patterns of project design, not only the method, but also the administer and the theory. This article makes a preliminary probe into the structure engineering for its absorbing systematic ness idea. This article firstly analyses the basic characteristic of the structure engineering. It is affirmed that the structure engineering can be treated as a system. Secondly, this article analyses two stages in which the structure engineering system has more chances to lose efficacy. It is the construction stage and the ageing stage. It is indicated in this article that in the construction stage, the effective measure to improve the reliablility is raising the quanlity of working people, strengthening the administer, in the ageing stage, it is valuable work to establish the prevention mechanism and ask the proprietor to maintain their estates in time. Thirdly, this article indicates that the evaluate and decision of structure systems must contain all factors, not only the construct cost. Meanwhile, the optimum mould-making, the optimum structural member dimemsions as well as the optimum total. Finally, this article analyses the method of the structural system design, the standardization design, and the computer aid of design. It is important to take necessary action during the prevention of construction accidents.
