A Research Of Portable Instrument For Vehicle's Brake System's Examination

Automotive industry is a mainstay of country, this is the strategic objective which established by our country for develop automotive industry. To achieve this strategic objective, there are at least two conditions: the first is that the quality of automobile must reach the advanced level of the world, which can not only satisfy domestic market, but also have powerful competitive power in foreign market. The second is that the quantity of the automobile have greatly progressed, which can drive the development of coherent industries. Overall, the quality of automobile is the key of the automobile's developing process. To the automaker, this is the most important element for which the automaker can survive, have vigorous vitality and whose products can become salable products on the market. With the development of industry system reform and socialist market economy, the automobile market competition about variety, technology and quantity is becoming more and more drastic, until put the quantity on the first place, that the automobile industry can become the real mainstay of country.Now all of our automakers regard the safety capability as the most important capability of their new products. Aim at this requirement, some domestic companies have developed a series of test instruments of automobile safety capability, which can test automobile's brake capability, sideslip, turning radius, speed meter, noise and waste gas emission to assure the quantity of new products. But the domestic brake system test instruments of automobile have many differences in test objects, process and the installment style, this bring much inconvenience when we design, debug, maintain and upgrade the test system.The thesis brings a new method of design a universal automobile brake system test instrument. This system tests 19 parameters such as the pressure of fore and after main fluid pumps and every sub fluid pumps', force of pedal, turn angle of steering wheel, speed of every wheels and car body, and calculates 9 correlation analyses according to the GB112676-1999 "automobile system structure, capability and test methods " and GB7258-1997 "technical regulation of automobile safety", also it can generate data report automatically.This system's hardware is composed with portable computer, data acquisition and sensors, it adopted the modularization method in the design of hardware which makes the test instrument very small and light, high antivibration capability, easily installedand taken down, so the test instrument can do experiment in the running vehicle. The software was developed by Visual Basic 6.0 and Borland C++ 5.0, which have high versatility, adaptability and extension.This system has been used to load-test automobile on the testing field which was provided by a automaker company's technology center, the test result has proved that this design method was correct and applied.
